The scandalous event took place during the Dominican fair in Gdańsk. At a stand belonging to the region of Middle Franconia, a group of men sang a modified (Nazi) version of the song "Ein Heller und ein Batzen," sung by soldiers of the German Wehrmacht in WWII.
- In my opinion, it was not a spontaneous show of joy revealed by singing an old soldier's song, but rather it was done with a certain contempt for us, Poles.
PiS MP Kacper Płażyński stated that this band should never be invited to Poland again. - And the organizer, the Gdańsk International Fair, a municipal institution, should speak out on this matter because this is a hit at the most challenging moment in history because after September 1, Gdańsk was drenched with the blood of Poles - he noted.
