Niezalezna(.)pl: 16 Russian spies are standing trial. The prosecutors filed indictments against members of a dangerous spy network, - the Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General Zbigniew Ziobro announced today on social media. These people conducted intelligence activities around seaports and military units.
The accused were part of a spy network cooperating with the Russian special services. They are identified as foreigners from beyond the eastern border, conducted intelligence and propaganda activities against Poland and prepared acts of sabotage on behalf of Russian intelligence.
The investigation shows that the group operated from January 2023 to March 2023.
At the request of the prosecutor, provisional arrest is applied to 15 suspects due to the need to secure the proper course of proceedings and the real fear of escape by the accused, who face severe sentences.
