Poland has a new government. President Duda appointed Donald Tusk as PM

Niezalezna.pl: During the ceremony at the Presidential Palace, Andrzej Duda appointed Donald Tusk as Prime Minister.

Donald Tusk was elected prime minister by the Sejm in the so-called second constitutional step, after the government of Mateusz Morawiecki, designated by the president as Prime Minister, failed to obtain a vote of confidence in the Sejm on Monday.

On Tuesday evening, Speaker of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia handed Donald Tusk the resolution of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland on the election of the Prime Minister and the resolution on the election of members of his cabinet to the Council of Ministers. That morning, Tusk delivered an expose in the Sejm, in which he presented the program and the composition of the government, and after several hours of debate, the Sejm decided to grant a vote of confidence in his government.
