The wives of political prisoners wrote to minister of justice: "We have doubts whether our husbands will live to see freedom"

Niezalezna(.)pl: According to the newspaper "Super Express," Justice Minister Adam Bodnar was to make a decision regarding MPs Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik and will not order their release from prison. "SE" wrote that the case files of convicted former ministers, along with Bodnar's position, will most likely reach President Duda's desk next week.

Due to media reports, the wives of the imprisoned MPs, Barbara Kamińska and Roma Wąsik, wrote a letter to Bodnar, appealing for the files to be handed over to President as soon as possible.

We call on you to immediately transfer the case files to President Andrzej Duda without issuing an opinion on this matter, which you are not obliged to do by law. This will allow the president to make the final decision. If you drag out this case, you may go down in history as the man who caused the tragedy and death of people pardoned by the President of the Republic of Poland, – wrote the MPs' wives.

In the letter, the women also indicated that "to this day they do not see any effects of the actions taken by Adam Bodnar."

What we see is obstruction, which is difficult to treat as anything other than another harassment and politically motivated actions. We cannot see your will to act, even though you are currently responsible for the lives and health of our husbands, people who have held key positions in Poland in recent years. With each day of their hunger protest, their condition is worsening. Seeing your approach to this matter, we have more and more serious doubts whether our husbands will live to see freedom - they wrote.

Maciej Wąsik and Mariusz Kamiński have been conducting a hunger protest since their imprisonment. Yesterday, President Andrzej Duda announced the court's decision, which ordered forced feeding of MP Kamiński.
