Police broke into the house of former Minister of Justice, who is in hospital

This morning officers from Internal Secority Agency illegally entered the house of terminally ill former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro who is in the hospital fighting with late stage cancer.

The police officers went into the house by breaking the front door and partially dismantling the property's fence. Internal cameras, including those monitoring some rooms, have been disabled. The external cameras were covered with adhesive tape. A window was broken.

Formally, Zbigniew Ziobro, former Minister of Justice, is not a suspect in any case, and no charges have been brought against him.

They took advantage of the fact that no one was home. Mr. Ziobro went for medical consultations. Not only Ziobro's private office was searched, but also his wife's private furniture. The action resembled the arrest of a heavily armed criminal group.

Former Minister of Justice  Zbigniew Ziobro is fighting cancer. He is in hospital, and he underwent serious surgery.

The officers of the Internal Security Agency also entered the apartments of Sovereign Poland politicians: Marcin Romanowski, Dariusz Matecki and Michał Woś.

An attorney Bartosz Lewadnowski, whose client is Marcin Romanowski, pointed out in his post on social media that the services' actions constitute a "gross" violation of parliamentary immunity because they occurred "without the required consent of the Sejm." The lawyer referred to the opinion of Professor Marek Chmaj from July 2014, prepared at the request of the Sejm Research Office, which indicates that "searching the premises occupied by a parliamentarian without the prior consent of the competent chamber to waive immunity is unacceptable and constitutes a violation of Article 105(2) of the Constitution."

That is not all. The action by police was ordered by the prosecutor who claims to be National Prosecutor but was never accepted to the post by the President.

PN: If the reports are true that Mr. Ziobro's house was entered without proper notice, and without an attorney present, that would be an illegal search and seizure. All of it looks like a major provocation aimed at the President of Polish Republic.
