Poland is getting closer to adopting the € currency. This is state interest. A kind of economic NATO.
Former Prime Minister and current MEP Beata Szydło commented:
Donald Tusk is under heavy pressure from the European Commission and German politicians, so he will pursue the policy that is convenient for them, and not necessary or good for the Polish interest.
That explains why the government wants to imprison the President of the Polish National Bank, who says that adopting the Euro economically doesn't make any sense and may be detrimental to Poland's economy.
