Professor Andrzej Zoll, former president of the Constitutional Tribunal, stated that "we are facing a severe constitutional crisis." The lawyer pointed to the president's criminal liability for not signing the law "bringing the role of the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs of the Supreme Court into line with the constitution."
The problem with this statement is that the bill has not yet been written or proposed, but the governing coalition could write it so that the president would not be able to sign it.
Another problem is the fundamental misunderstanding of the law by someone who is a lawyer and former judge. The president has a constitutional right to veto any bill.
