Are you better off now than four years ago?

Politicians from Democratic party don't want to answer that question. How about you? (Please write to us in the comments.)
Democrats don't want to answer that because the truth is rather sad. We have higher unemployment (even in official numbers, unofficial are nearly twice as high). Our income is lower why cost of living is much higher.

The only positive thing is that people are trying much harder (Obama can't take credit for that) to resolve their problems. And, I am not talking about those who switched from unemployment checks to disability checks. I am talking about people of all ages who are trying to start small businesses. Something that is even more difficult because of current administration on federal as well as state levels.

Going back to original question, here are some stats (from Hotair/FoxNews) for you:

Unemployment: 7.8% then, 8.3% now
Median income: $54,983 then, $50,964 now
Gas prices: $1.85 per gallon then, $3.78 now
National debt: $10.6 trillion then, $15.9 trillion now
