Jedno z nich to lotnisko wojskowe.

It Started! - Russian Troops Entered Crimea

Russian soldiers, without any emblems identifying that they are Russian, took control of two airports in the Crimea. News agencies also inform that Russian helicopters enters Ukrainian, over Crimea, territory.

An armed man patrols at the airport in Simferopol, Crimea February 28, 2014.

Officially, of-course, Russians deny those reports, according to them its militia forces and, BTW, one of the airports is military and belongs to them, Russian fleet, anyway.

New Ukrainian government calls it as it is: invasion and occupation.

US in the constitutional crisis

Some people from both political sides believe that the US is heading for or already is in the constitutional crisis. President's words ("I got a pen") and actions cause the alarm because he is talking about assuming an authority he doesn't have. President Obama, considered to be a constitutional scholar, is an executive while Congress is the body that passes the laws he supposed to enforce or at least follow. However President Obama acts as if he had authority to do both, pass and execute laws. That is an over reach or "power grab". Here is a professor of public interest law, a Democrat, who sound an alarm:

Kryzys konstytucyjny w USA - Obama przejmuje władzę

Ta "przyjemność" należy do Kongresu.

Obama chce także dać nielegalnym imigrantom amnestie, take z pominięciem Kongresu.

Finally someone blasts American useful idiots - in Senat

In his reaction to Sen. Tom Harkin's report on Cuban "progress" Sen. Marco Rubio completely destroys him and others like him.

While many websites offer the video and comment I would like to add some of my thoughts, comments missing from his speech. Most likely because he tries to be civilized or politically correct.

I wonder if our visitors to Cuba were informed that in Cuba, any time there is any sort of problem with the child in utero they are strongly encouraged to undergo abortions, and that’s why they have an abortion rate that skyrockets, and some say, is perhaps the highest the world.
 - Coming soon to America. This is why Democrats promote abortion clinics. Good way to keep medical costs down.
I heard about their wonderful literacy rate, how everyone in Cuba knows how to read. That’s fantastic. Here’s the problem: they can only read censored stuff.
- How else could they learn about Marxism or write anonymous reports on their neighbors to the secret police. I don't know if they do but I know that it is strongly encouraged. (Just like in America in the last few years. (See Something. Say Something.))
Who are Cuba’s allies in the world? North Korea. Before he fell, the dictator in Libya, the dictator in Syria, the tyrant in Moscow. This is who they line up with.
- Let's not forget Hillary Clinton and Hollywood elites (and, psst, Barack Obama).

Bravo Marco Rubio! Wake-up America.

WSJ: Viva Rubio

Meet useful idiot

Useful Idiot - Term invented in Soviet Russia to describe people who blindly supported the likes of Lenin and Stalin while they committed atrocity after atrocity.
Sen. Tom Harkin (yes, this post is about him), the Democratic chair of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, returned from a week long tour of Cuba with a shocking revelation:  Cuba does much better in protecting children from dying than America.

“[Cuba‘s] a poor country, but they have a lower child mortality rate than ours,” ... “Their life expectancy is now greater than ours. It’s interesting — their public health system is quite remarkable.”

Harkin was also impressed with free medical care and free education. He reported that Cuban students don't have any educational debt. Senator Harkin failed to mention that Cuban family planning services (abortion clinics) also beat our own Planned Parenthood clinics. Cuba leads in abortion rates (even better then the New York City) in the world. While in the US "women haters" try to discourage women from having abortions, in Cuba many women are strongly encouraged to have one. This may explain low child mortality rates.

Harkin also failed to hail Cuban report on freedom of speech were, just as in the US, you can freely criticize american imperialism.

We can't wait for Senator Harkin to move to this paradise.

BTW: For some reason Sen. Harkin's speech on wonderful Cuban health system cannot be found on his official website. - Why? Read the post on Sen. Rubio's reaction.

Putin's bluff?

Is Putin bluffing on Crimea? The mobilization of the Russian troops can be seen as a clear signal for Ukraine but it may also mobilize pro-Ukrainian Cossasks, modern times warrior class.

Putin's move did not go unnoticed. Western world read for what it was. It is a warning and possibly a repeat of what happened in Georgia.

So, the civil war in Ukraine was avoided. We now face a war between Russia and Ukraine over Ukrainian territory.

Deal signed in Kiev, who will claim a credit?

Here is a question: Who will run to the cameras first and claim credit for success? If it turns up to be a success.

Porozumienie podpisane, Janukowycz ogłasza wcześniejsze wybory

W wyniku rozmów z ministrami Unii Janukowycz ogłosił wcześniejsze wybory i powrót do konstytucji z 2004 roku, ograniczającej uprawnienia prezydenta.

Ukraine peace deal signed, opens way for early election

Message to opposition: "If you don't support this you will have martial law, the army, you'll all be dead."
KIEV (Reuters Canada) - Ukraine opposition leaders signed an EU-mediated peace deal with President Viktor Yanukovich on Friday, aiming to end a violent standoff that has left dozens dead and opening the way for a early presidential election this year.

NYTIMES: Accord Is Signed in Ukraine Amid Hopes That Bloodshed Will Stop

Is Obama the worst president ever?

In a light of bloody crisis in Ukraine, something that could be prevented, and complete ineptness of our administration can we say that Obama failed as a leader of the Free World?

In only 5 years Obama managed to build quite a portfolio of failed attempts, or their lack of, to stop the bloodshed during protests, uprisings and revolutions around the world. The most notable was silence, and some "golf time" (just like this week), during the Iranian protests in 2009. It was recently revealed that the Iranian opposition leaders asked Obama directly for help, something the administration strongly denied.

I think it is safe to say that if Obama was a president in 1989 the revolutions in Eastern Europe, Autumn of Nations, would end in the most bloody events since the WWII. The Soviet troops were ready to intervene but their leaders were afraid of what the US and NATO would do. Not anymore. When in 2009 Hilary Clinton offered Russians the "reset button" they laughed in our faces, and yes, they knew exactly what we wanted despite goofed translation.

When you watch those horrific pictures and videos from Kiev please remember, there was enough time to prevent that. It all started in November of last year with peaceful demonstrations but the message was clear. They had enough.

There was enough time to prevent that.

Here is a short timeline from the start to first blood on the streets:

  • Nov. 21, 2013: President Yanukovych announces that an agreement to strengthen trade ties with the EU is abandoned, and will instead seek closer ties with Russia. Protests begin that same night.
  • Nov. 24, 2013: 100,000 people attend a demonstration in Kiev, the largest protest in Ukraine since the Orange Revolution (also against Yanukovych).
  • Nov. 30, 2013: Police launch their first raid on protesters, arresting 35.
  • Dec. 1, 2013: Protesters occupy Kiev city hall and Independence Square turning it into a tent city.
  • Dec. 8, 2013: The largest demonstration yet sees 800,000 people attend a protest in Kiev.
  • Dec. 14, 2013: Rival pro-government protests are held in Independence Square, but with far fewer numbers.
  • Dec. 17, 2013: After talks with President Yanukovich, Vladimir Putin agrees to buy $15bn of Ukrainian debt and to reduce the price of Russian gas supplies to Ukraine by about a third.
  • Jan. 16, 2014: Ukraine's parliament passes restrictive anti-protest laws, which opponents call "draconian".
  • Jan. 22, 2014: Two people die from gunshot wounds after clashes with police. The body of a high profile activist, Yuriy Verbytsky, is found in a forest after he was reportedly abducted earlier in the week.
  • ...
  • Feb. 20, 2014: 77 people killed (many by a police sniper fire). Police didn't allow medics to provide help to wounded demonstrators. Some of them died. "We could save those people" - said doctor who was not allowed to provide help.

UPDATE: At least 70 dead in Kiev

On Thursday morning, a truce called by Yanukovych and opposition leaders fell apart as government snipers fired at protesters, who hurled Molotov cocktails and rocks at lines of police in response.
Video footage on Ukrainian television showed shocking scenes of protesters being cut down by gunfire, lying on the pavement as comrades rushed to their aid. Trying to protect themselves with shields, teams of protesters carried bodies away on sheets of plastic or on planks of wood.
Thursday’s clashes brought this week’s death toll to at least 59 (70 just today) in Kiev, with hundreds injured. Protesters dispute those numbers though, claiming that the true toll is much higher.

Freedom of press

Good news Poland ranks higher in freedom of press then United States. But no, Poland is not number 1 and US number 2.

Poland is number 19 (and I don't think it would be easy for me to run this blog in Poland).
United States is number 46.

Blood on the streets of Kiev

After overnight truce the fighting in Kiev resumed. According to Ukrainian journalists, who counted bodies on the streets, the number of dead is 37 (not 20 as reported by CNN). According to them nearly of the dead have been shot to the head, hurt or neck which suggests sniper fire. That contradicts government claims that protesters broke the truce. Although it is (was) a standard practice of KGB to use provocateurs to change peaceful protests into violent confrontations which gave authorities an excuse to use sharp ammunition.
The foreign ministers of European Union members France, Germany and Poland were meeting with Yanukovych Thursday ahead of EU meeting to decide possible sanctions against Ukraine. French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius had said that he and his counterparts would meet both sides and hope they "will find a way for dialogue."

No point in asking Obama to get involved with Ukraine crisis

If Obama, the Nobel Peace Prize winner, wanted to get in solving in this crisis he would have done it already. Yes, John Kerry did issue some strongly worded statements but that was all the administration was willing to do. Again, the politics are more important than the democracy and ... everything else that the US used to stand for.

Obama doesn't want to alienate his "friend", Putin. He did ask Putin to be patient with us, you know the little people who hate dictators, and wait until his hands are not tied by elections. Now it seems he delivers on his promise.

Because Obama's complete surrender on the international issues, or ineptness, we face a crisis after crisis around the world (Syria, Iran, Afghanistan, Ukraine, China sea). John Kerry, our Secretary of State - supposedly, is more interested in the Global Warming then crisis in Ukraine. That is why the are already voices asking him to resign.

Good thing we have Joe Biden (lol) to voice our concerns. (Putin and Yanukovych must shake in their boots.)
Forbes: The United States and Europe have so far abdicated the opportunity to provide real assistance to the opposition. Putin, on the other hand, will leave no stone unturned to insure that his allies emerge victorious.  In such confrontations, the street fighter wins and the gentlemen lose.
Yanukovich and his allies are playing for time, stretching out negotiations, pleading illness, and hoping for the steam to run out of the protests.

  • Overall, 71 percent said yes, 26 percent no.
  • 80 percent of whites said yes, 61 percent of blacks said no and 100 percent of Hispanics said yes.

  • 55 percent of Democrats said yes, as did 71 percent of independents.

Thinking about buying Girl Scout cookies?

Did you know that Girl Scouts of USA support Planned Parenthood?
Did you know that Planned Parenthood recommended abortions instead of present on Valentine's Day?

Did you know that lawyers working for Girl Scouts of USA are going after those who report on their link to Planned Parenthood? The link is well documented and even admitted to by Girl Scouts CEO.

Still want those cookies?

Strategic partnership with Hungary

Lately John McCain was not my favorite politician and his trips to Europe to show our support didn't impress me. However here is an example that he cares for what we do:

How Much Does It Cost to Be Ambassador to Hungary?

(I am still smiling.)

In 6 month we will have another immigration fight

EU gives US six months to come clean on visa policy which means that around July 30th we will have another fight in Congress around it.
The European Commission has told the United States to lift visa requirements on Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus and Croatia, whose citizens still need an entry permit to travel to the country. ... If within six months the problem is not solved, the EU could introduce visas for US diplomats, the Commission warned.

UE stanęła po stronie Polaków

Unia Europejska w końcu stanowczo stanęła po stronie Polaków. Czy to coś pomoże? Zobaczymy.

Oklahoma needs to change it's name

Soon all "red" liberals, actually white people, who are offended by the name Redskins will also demand that state of Oklahoma changes its name too. As soon as they learn that Oklahoma means "red people". It's worth mentioning that 90% of Native Americans, or Indians, actually support the team and it's name.

This week one of the larger news channels showed a video where a journalist verbally attacks unsuspecting passerby for his support of Redskins. The journalist didn't even blink when told that this poor guy was of Indian descent.

It's very disturbing. Unless the outrage comes from the "reds", otherwise known as commies, who reserve the name for their own purposes.

Prezydentowi Obamie. Dlaczego?

Little Ice Age?

Forbes is reporting that according to Russian and German meteorologists Earth is heading toward another Little Ice Age that may last 200-250 years. How long will it take the Global Warming Alarmists like Al Gore, and now Barack Obama, to admit that?

Forbes: To The Horror Of Global Warming Alarmists, Global Cooling Is Here
Forbes: The Polar Vortex: Climate Alarmism Blows Hot And Cold

Global warming attacks, again and again

Yesterday our state was cover with this white staff that cannot be named, and our children were not supposed to see ever again.  Tonight we will get another 10 inches of it. Thank God president Obama already settled the dispute about global warming, at least that's what he said in his SOTU speech, otherwise we would have to worry about freezing our collective b*** off.

What Obama and Belarus have in common?

Apparently our shiny new Obamacare website was built in part by programmers from the peace loving Belarus the home of the last European dictator. You would think that $700,000,000 would at least pay for background checks if not for a working code. Now, US intelligence agencies are warning that those programmers may have installed malicious code that would allow theft of data and cyber attacks.

- It's nice to know that at least part of the website is working.

freebeacon.com: The intelligence agencies notified the Department of Health and Human Services, the agency in charge of the Healthcare.gov network, about their concerns last week. Specifically, officials warned that programmers in Belarus, a former Soviet republic closely allied with Russia, were suspected of inserting malicious code that could be used for cyber attacks, according to U.S. officials familiar with the concerns.

Putin pressing for end of protests

It is being reported that Putin is pressing president Yanukovych to use police and military to end protests. It becomes apparent that Russia is behind the terror campaign against protests' leaders. Because more and more oligarchs and high ranking officials began to support opposition Putin decided to stop playing nice. He may even support crackdown before the Olympic Games.

Russia stopped allowing Ukrainian goods to cross the borders which means that the production will eventually stop. The flow of natural gas may also be stopped which may be catastrophic since winter weather over there is even worse then here. All of that is designed to cause Russian supporters to rise up against protesters.

This looks like a repeat of situation right before Russian attack on Georgia. Will that lead to civil war or even regional war?
