Polish government is planning a tax on advertising

“The specific structure of the rates and free amounts may change in the course of the work - this is the purpose of the consultation process. However, even in its published form, the draft will not in any way restrict the freedom of expression and will not attack media pluralism. On the contrary, it can break the oligopoly of international giants that dominate the Polish media market. That caused a hysterical reaction from the circles that benefit from this oligopoly of media coverage under tone rule,” - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki wrote on Facebook.
