"Enough of this!". Emotional speech of PM Morawiecki

Dorzeczy(.)pl: Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki reacted to the words of the head of the European People's Party (EPP), Manfred Weber. The German politician once again attacked the Polish government.

During an interview with the public television station ZDF on Sunday, he stated that Polish party 'Law and Justice' (PiS) was among those groups that the EPP would fight. The German politician argues that both PiS and (German) AfD are a threat to the European Union.

– This is a wall against PiS representatives in Poland, who systematically attack the rule of law and free media. We will not waver in these principles.

– All others who do not respect this, like the German AfD, like Le Pen in France or PiS in Poland, are our enemies and will be fought by us – added the head of the EPP.

Weber's words met with a sharp reaction from United Right politicians, commentators and Internet users. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki also reacted to them. In a specially recorded video, the head of the Polish government strongly opposed "slandering the democratic elections of Poles." He also called on the EPP President for a debate.

"I mean, that's enough." As the Prime Minister of the Polish government, which represents the parliamentary majority elected in democratic elections, I will not allow the elections of Poles to be so vilified. ...
If the Germans openly admit that they will interfere in the elections in Poland, let them stand with an open visor. Mr. Weber, please do not use your sidekick Donald Tusk. Please join the debate. Accusing us of breaking democratic rules? Please say that to millions of Poles in the televised discussion. I invite you to it on October 2. We are ready to talk about the details of such event.
