The Supreme Court issued a resolution that leaves no doubt - the function of the National Prosecutor is held by prosecutor Dariusz Barski. This means that all decisions made by prosecutors Jacek Bilewicz and Dariusz Korneluk in recent months were illegal.
This means gigantic chaos in the prosecutor's office, from which only criminals will benefit. These are the consequences of the actions of the Minister of Justice, Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar, and Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Although the current prosecutor's office tried to block the issuance of the ruling - one request to exclude Supreme Court judges was submitted two weeks ago, and another one today just before the meeting, and also demanded that the resolution not be issued, the Supreme Court resolved the doubts.
The court stated that prosecutor Barski is a prosecutor in active service and his appointment as the head of the National Prosecutor's Office is binding.
- I accept with satisfaction the ruling of the Supreme Court confirming the correctness of my position on the illegality of the removal of Prosecutor Dariusz Barski from the position of National Prosecutor by the government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk - wrote President Andrzej Duda on social media.
PN: Partial responsibility for this legal chaos lies with the European Union, whose institutions happily support the illegal actions of the current government. Just because those actions aim at the previous conservative and EU skeptic government.
