The Minister of Infrastructure showed what the Central Communication Port will look like. Construction is scheduled to start in 2026.
The start of operations is scheduled for the end of 2032. Together with the airport, a high-speed rail line from Łódź to Warsaw is also to be put into operation.
"In the first stage of implementation, the airport will be able to handle up to approximately 11,000 passengers per hour. On the opening day, there will be nearly 140 ticket and baggage check-in counters, with space reserve for the installation of another check-in island, increasing the number of counters to 170." – stated in the announcement.
The 'port' will also include a high-speed railroad station connecting it with Warsaw and other major Polish cities.
The Central Communication Port is planned to become a major transport hub for Central and Eastern Europe.
