The prosecutor's office demanded from TVP (Television Poland) a copy of one episode of the series "Reset."
The episode titled "Line of Vistula" showed declassified documents revealing that under the previous government of Donald Tusk, a plan was developed that assumed - in the event of an attack by Russia - giving up almost half of Poland's territory almost without a fight.
The entire show was so damaging to Donald Tusk that as soon as he returned to the office, it was erased from all the channels, including YouTube.
Gen. Jarosław Stróżyk became the head of the Military Counterintelligence Service in March last year, and just four months he submitted a report on the suspicion crime being committed even though the documents used in the show were declassified.
"The Military Counterintelligence Service, following the disclosure on September 17, 2023 by the then Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak of information from the document regarding the operational plans of the Polish Armed Forces, in 2024 carried out an inspection of the status of securing classified information at the Ministry of National Defense. The identified irregularities in the area of improper handling of classified information and actions to the detriment of the interest in the protection of classified information constitute crimes specified in Chapters XXXIII and XXIX of the Penal Code."
One of the arguments is that minister Błaszczak had no right to de classify those documents.
PN: It appears that the betrayal (or strategic retreat) of half of the country is fine, while informing the public about it is a treason. This logic is taken straight of comunists play book.
