The chairman of the Independent Trade Union Solidarity (NSZZ Solidarność), Piotr Duda, endorsed the civic candidate for president Karol Nawrocki. A special agreement was signed in Gdańsk. Nawrocki pledged that if he wins, he will "pursue a policy aimed at maintaining the retirement age at the current level" and also maintain the current pensions structure.
The document indicates that "presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki declares that if he wins the elections using all available tools, in particular the right of legislative initiative, presidential veto, and submitting a request to the Constitutional Tribunal to examine the compliance of the act with the constitution, he will implement a policy based on the values of dialogue and the social teaching of the Catholic Church."
The document also includes a provision that "Chairman Piotr Duda declares that the elements of the electoral program of the candidate for the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, are consistent with the program objectives of NSZZ Solidarność contained in the statute of the union and the program resolution of the National Congress of Delegates of NSZZ Solidarność."
