The Minister of Foreign Affairs attacked the presidential candidate. He received a civility lesson

Today, Gazeta Wyborcza (GW), which received "help" from USAID, published an article about Karol Nawrocki, an independent presidential candidate. The article concerns the trips Nawrocki made as director of the Museum of the Second World War and president of the Institute of National Remembrance.

"Hawaii, Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand - these are the travel achievements of Karol Nawrocki as the director of the Second World War. When he became vice-president and president of the Institute of National Remembrance in 2021, he flew to distant countries, including Zimbabwe, Mexico, and Argentina. He also made a tour of the United States," – wrote "Wyborcza".

Attention was quickly drawn to the fact that Karol Nawrocki's travels were associated with specific activities related to promoting and commemorating Poland's history.

The article was intentionally aimed at the presidential candidate from a different political camp than GW. It could be on the occasion of the Minister of Foreign Affairs's trip to Africa, who immediately tried to take advantage of it.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, wanted to shine, so he ironically asked Karol Nawrocki "what Polish matters" he could handle in Zimbabwe.

Since the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy has asked me to visit Zimbabwe as the (representative of EU's) Presidency, I would like to ask the (IPN's) President Nawrocki what Polish matters can be dealt with there at the same time.

To which Nawrocki replied:

I have already taken care of a very important matter - a cemetery for Polish civilians from World War II. You will hear on site what impression it made on the local community. We are coming back for our own people, we are building the authority of the Polish state. We put a lot of effort into this with IPN and a group of wonderful boy scouts. The Minister can also - like his party colleague who wants to be president - do nothing. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, two self-delights, the (meet with) local elite and go home. Have fun.

PN: I am beginning to warm to this candidate. He reminds me of the guy who recently won the US presidency.
