Law and Justice (PiS) wants Prime Minister Donald Tusk to present information about the EU's Migration Pact at the next session of the Sejm. This is related to the letter of the EU commissioner, in which he noted that Poland - contrary to the previous PM's announcements - will not be exempt from accepting relocated migrants. The head of the PiS club, Mariusz Błaszczak, also wants explanations about Rafał Trzaskowski's lack of reaction in this matter. Trzaskowski is both a presidential candidate and vice chairman of the governing party, Civic Platform.
"EU Commissioner for Migration Magnus Brunner stated that Poland will not be excluded from the migration pact," Błaszczak said. As he noted, we were previously deceived by the belief that Donald Tusk would lead to the exclusion of Poland using the argument that Poland accepted (over 1 million) refugees from Ukraine." The Prime Minister and politicians from his camp repeated this for months.
As he said, in connection with this information, the PiS club will request information from Prime Minister Donald Tusk on this matter at the next session of the Sejm. "We will ask how many migrants Donald Tusk and the coalition are ready to accept, where will these migrants be concentrated, how much will it cost the state budget, and therefore the Polish taxpayer?" - emphasized Błaszczak. The next session of the Sejm is scheduled for February 5-6.
"We will also ask about the role of the president of Warsaw, KO's presidential candidate, Rafał Trzaskowski, because, as he claims, he was at the meeting of the ministers of internal affairs. Therefore, we will ask why Rafał Trzaskowski did not oppose such decisions." – added the head of the PiS club.
PN: PM Tusk was caught lying. I would be surprised if he presented this information so close to the elections.
