We must first repair the justice system - says candidate for President of Poland

"Today we live in the greatest chaos in the justice system since the beginning of the Third Polish Republic [...] Polish citizens cannot count on a fair trial, Polish companies fruitlessly wait for the verdicts and are often either liquidated or have to wait a long time for the payment of funds," – said the candidate for the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, at a meeting with the residents of Gołdap, a small spa town in northeastern Poland.

He reminded the audience that "the executive part of the government does not listen to the judgments of the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Tribunal."

- We need to fix the justice system first so that those who caused this chaos will be held accountable to it in accordance with the law - added Nawrocki.

Nawrocki did not rule out that the current situation could be fixed by a referendum.

- Perhaps we will need the voice of citizens in a referendum to say how we, as a nation, as a society, imagine this justice system, - he said.
