It's only two months until presidential elections in Poland, and all recent news from there are election related one way or another.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Donald Tusk informed the Sejm that work is underway to prepare large-scale military training for every adult male in Poland.
The news was immediately picked up by most of the international media. The proposal of the head of government was even met with a positive assessment by the opposition, and if you read posts on this website, you know that it is a rare occurrence.
What was not reported is that no planning for such an operation is necessary.
The former head of the Central Military Recruitment Center, General Mirosław Bryś, stated that all the necessary training plans are ready, and all that is needed is to use them. However, the current leadership of the Ministry of National Defense seems unwilling to do so.
Candidate for President of the Republic of Poland Karol Nawrocki commented on the current situation in Poland - including yesterday's speech by Donald Tusk.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Tusk had his "exposé", as you know. We have all waited 20 years for this politician to understand that Putin is a threat, although the late Lech Kaczyński spoke about it in 2009. He understands now that we need to arm ourselves!
