A few days ago - the European Commission issued a statement in which, after years of speculation and assumptions in the media, it admitted to financing lobbyists.
"They have been doing this for years, looking after the interests of their business principals, mainly German. (...) In reality, they sought to overthrow democratic governments that opposed them," comments Zbigniew Ziobro, a member of parliament for Law and Justice.
Brussels paid millions to environmental organizations – but not only for the climate: the EU financed targeted campaigns against political opponents and inconvenient voices. After years of criticism, the Commission has officially admitted to the scandal. Suspicions had been circulating for years and are now official: the European Commission under Ursula von der Leyen supported environmental organizations with taxpayers' money – not only for climate and environmental protection, but also for political smear campaigns. Zbigniew Ziobro, former Minister of Justice wrote on X: The European Commission has become the super-government of Europe. There is no control over it, they have enormous amounts of money with which they pay whoever they want and for whatever they want.
