Poland and Lithuania will commemorate the 163rd anniversary of the January Uprising

The presidential couples of Poland and Lithuania will jointly participate in the commemorations of the 163rd anniversary of the January Uprising. The ceremonies will take place in Warsaw on Saturday and in Vilnius on Sunday. In the Lithuanian capital, President Karol Nawrocki is also scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"They will meet, among other places, at a Holy Mass in the Vilnius Archcathedral. This is a unifying element – a shared history, the history of the struggle against Tsarist Russia and now the struggle of Ukrainians against the Russian Federation. This is a historical parallel that provides a good basis for discussions," said Rafał Leśkiewicz, spokesman for the President of Poland.
