Prosecutor General to the Constitutional Tribunal: The Istanbul Convention upturns Polish legal system

 Zbigniew Ziobro, Prosecutor General, in his statement to the Constitutional Tribunal, emphasizes that the Istanbul Convention "is contrary to the constitutional principle of the state's ideological neutrality, and that it strikes at the parents' right to raise children in accordance with their beliefs, and the terms used in it upturn the Polish legal system".

As Ziobro points out, "the procedure and the adoption by the Polish parliament of the act on granting consent to ratification of the Convention were unconstitutional, because parliamentarians had an incorrect translation." 

The Prosecutor General notes that Polish law, especially after the recent amendments, is an effective instrument ensuring proper protection of women. "Polish law, changed in recent years, meets the highest standards of this protection and the provisions of the convention do not improve this situation in any way."

Ziobro emphasized - "Poland cannot be bound by international law, which requires the introduction of an ideology that is contrary to the values resulting from the Polish constitution."

Polish prosecutor's office refuses to hand over Dutch family

 The conservative portal wPolityce.pl reports that the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw will ask the court not to issue an order to hand over to the Dutch authorities a couple that fled from the Netherlands with their autistic son. The  Dutch officials believe that the child should be kept in a closed center for children with disabilities.

This shocking decision of the Dutch authorities made the couple take a desperate step. They "kidnapped" their son and fled the country with him. A few weeks ago, they found arrived in Poland.

A Dutch court issued a European arrest warrant for the two parents of a sick boy. However, so far they could feel safe in Poland. In the opinion of those familiar with the situation, the family functions very well and the parents are very good at dealing with their child's disability. 

While in Netherlands, the boy repeatedly informed the authorities that he wanted to stay with his parents, and being placed in a center for autistic children caused him suffering.

The ruthlessness of the Dutch family services, which theoretically help the family of sick children, has been known for several years.

The parents of the sick boy have already been questioned, but were not detained by the prosecutor's decision. Investigators from the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw are convinced that the handing over of the couple to the Dutch authorities will cause the family great harm. There are also legal doubts. The boy's parents have not lost their parental rights in the Netherlands, but their right was limited. The child wants to be with their loved ones. All this makes it impossible to apply article 211 of the Polish Penal Code.

It is shocking that European have to seek an asylum in Poland, there were other cases in the last couple of years, to be able to raise their children normally. Interestingly, they are fleeing the countries whose authorities and judges question "the rule of law" in Poland.

A roundup of journalists covering Belarusian (we purposefully omitted that in the title) protests took place yesterday. 

At least 270 people were arrested by the police on Thursday evening during a protest in the center of Minsk, Wiasna center reported. There were at least 39 journalists among the detained, the Independent Belarusian Association of Journalists (BAJ) reported. Some of the detained correspondents of foreign media have been banned from entering Belarus and have only a few days to leave the country.

Arrests in Minsk took place in two locations - on Freedom Square, where the police mainly looked for journalists, and on Independence Square - where at least 257 people were detained.

BAJ announced that they knew the names of 39 detained journalists, but there could have been around 50 of them in total. Formally, the police argued, the reporters were not arrested, but only brought to the police station to check documents and the legality of work in Belarus. However, at least two people - Kaciaryna Andrejewa and Maksim Kalitouski working for Belsat TV, were to be sent to the Minsk jail.

Among arrested were journalists for Polish TVN, Belsat TV (Polish satellite television channel aimed at Belarus), journalists from all independent Belarusian media and a number of foreign networks including: BBC, Reuters, AP, Sputnik, Komsomolska Pravda and others.

The Central Communication Port will create 95,000 jobs in Poland

 At its peak, the investment program of the Central Communication Port (CPK) will create 95,000 jobs. The gross added value of GDP that this investment will bring to the economy will amount to PLN 126 billion (+/- $32b) - said Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Marcin Horała.

In his opinion, the coronavirus pandemic will have a positive impact on the implementation of the project.

"In the conditions of the economic slowdown (...) investments are much easier - there are lower prices and more willing contractors looking for orders. On the other hand, such public investment is needed to stimulate the economy" - said the minister.

"We plan this investment, so that, in the event that the CPK becomes full, there will be land reserves and easy expansion possibilities up to 100 million passengers, if the need arises in the future." 

The Central Communication Port will consist of both international and national airport terminals, as well as a major railway junction. All of that is designed to create a transfer hub between Warsaw and Łódź, which will integrate air, rail and road transport. The largest Polish cities will be within 2.5 hours of travel from CPK.

Nastroje uległy dalszemu polepszeniu po tym, jak wyżsi rangą urzędnicy amerykańscy i chińscy powiedzieli, że są zobowiązani do realizacji pierwszego porozumienia handlowego podpisanego w styczniu. W wideokonferencji pod koniec poniedziałku uczestniczył amerykański przedstawiciel handlowy Robert Lighthizer, sekretarz skarbu Steven Mnuchin i wicepremier Chin Liu He w celu formalnego przeglądu umowy.

The Three Seas Fund is moving forward. Two new countries will join

 The Three Seas Initiative brings together 12 countries located between three seas: Adriatic, Baltic and Black. It covers 29 percent of the European Union territory, 25 percent of its population and generates almost 20 percent of its GDP. 

Despite their geographical proximity, the countries of the Three Seas Initiative are still relatively poorly linked economically, and in comparison to Western European there is a huge gap in terms of infrastructure.

"We asked one of the companies to create a report showing the differences in infrastructure compared to the infrastructure of Western European countries in three areas: roads, energy and digitization. EUR 600 billion are the differences between the Three Seas Initiative and the countries of Western Europe. Therefore, from the beginning of the Initiative, special attention has been paid to building closer ties between its members" - said Beata Daszyńska-Muzyczka, president of the Polish State Development Bank (BGK).

The three main areas of cooperation are energy, digital technologies and transport.

"Covid-19 times show how important cooperation and trust are, and how much we can achieve thanks to partnership cooperation. The 'Three Seas' countries are not big countries, but the entire region has over 112 million people. I like the comparison that it is the same as in Russia, only a smaller area. We still lack connections and infrastructure expansion along the North-South axis. Today, the construction of such infrastructure is of great importance, because perhaps it will be a cornerstone for us for a strong expansion, because it will be an important logistics chain" - said the President of BGK.

"In 2017, we as BGK took the initiative to help such an important initiative as a financial institution. Hence the initiative of the Three Seas Fund. We spent a lot of time traveling and convincing us to set up such a fund and how important it is" - said Ms. Daszyńska-Muzyczka. - "At the next summit in Tallinn, we will tell you what projects will come into effect. Please observe, because these are not only these bridges, but greater cooperation and what we can achieve together. The fact that these investments will be made jointly builds primarily a social community" - she added.

As part of the Three Seas Fund, BGK is currently working with five more countries on accession. It is estimated that by the time of the Tallinn Three Seas summit on October 19-20, 2020, at least two countries will formally join the Fund.

 Even thought President Trump signed executive orders 2 weeks ago states like Connecticut are not adding "federal supplement" to the unemployment benefits.

Earlier this morning the message on the official state portal for Connecticut said: "$600 weekly supplemental expired on July 25, 2020. Connecticut is prohibited by law from continuing this program without federal re-authorization."

Later a new message was added: "Connecticut, along with other states and districts, is waiting for guidance from the U.S. Dept. of Labor regarding the federal supplement."

Belarus: Protests continue, Lukashenko is using the army

 Over 100,000 people protested in Minsk on Sunday - estimated the independent Belarusian portal tut.by. Other independent media said it could be close to a quarter of a million.

The authorities used the loudspeakers of the city's alarm system on the central Independence Square in Minsk, loud music were used in an attempt to drown out the protesters, and the voice of a representative of the Interior Ministry of Internal urged them to disperse.

We cannot let that happen!." (...) "In case of violation of order and peace in these places - you will be dealing not with the militia (police), but with the army." Military units, in full gear including bullet proof vest and automatic rifles, were seen near the protest sites in major cities.

Polish cities focus on electromobility

In recent months, Solaris has signed many significant contracts for the delivery of modern electric buses to Polish cities. The largest orders were placed by Lublin, Krak6w, Poznan and Katowice. 

A port city, Gdynia, has been impressively developing its emission-free trolleybus transport network for years, and has recently enriched its fleet with the so-called "Supertrolleybuses" equipped with traction batteries, such as those in electric buses, charged from trolleybus traction. 

Sales of electric buses in Europe are growing dynamically, and Poland ranks 5th in the European Union in terms of the number of electric buses in cities. It is quickly becoming an extremely important market for zero-emission vehicles.

NATO doesn't take any chances, AWACS fly over Warsaw

While officially the NATO's airborne early warning and control system plane will conduct radar surveillance over Poland as a part aviation exercises it is a good timing since Belarus deployed much of its military forces to the Polish border. 

Belarus' president, Lukashenko, claims that Poland and NATO plan to take over the western part of the country raising a possibility of military provocation from the leader who has lost almost all of the support of his people.

Russian app used by protesters in Belarus, Internet services blocked

The scale of the protests after the presidential elections in Belarus surprised everyone, including Lukashenka himself. The AP agency discovered that their organization was possible thanks to a popular application, Telegram. It is very ironic since it is a Russian app which for a while was rumored to be penetrated and controlled by the KGB. So, the rumors were either not true or Russian KGB is not sharing with Belarusian KGB.

The most important and widely used feature in Telegram is so-called channels. This option allows to send messages to all users who subscribe to a given channel and is often used to create a news channel. 

The most popular channels in Belarus are NEXTA, NEXTA Live and Belarus Mind. After the outbreak of protests, these channels are used by their administrators not only to publish messages encouraging to fight the regime or informing about the current situation, but also to coordinate demonstrations.

Protesters like this app for two main reasons. First, it doesn't require a good internet connection. Following the outbreak of protests in Belarus, there are regular interruptions in the Internet service by the authorities. Telegram, however, works even on very slow connections, thanks to which it allows to download current messages no matter what. The second advantage is that the messages they send are encrypted with very effective algorithms, which means that the Belarusian intelligence services cannot easily monitor the opposition's communications.

In a mean time over 70 websites have been blocked. Among them are opposition media portals - Radio Swaboda, Belsat TV and Euroradio. The human rights website, Wiasna, and the independent Belarusian Association of Journalists is also not working. The websites were blocked by a decision of the Ministry of Information. The reasons for this decision have not yet been presented.

Pelosi tradycyjnie, robi to już od ponad 12-tu lat, chce przedłożyć ustawę która ma ponad 2000 stron i zawierającą wszystko to czego życzyliby sobie Demokraci, plus więcej jeśli uda się to gdzieś ukryć w tych 2000 stronach, na przykład wypuszczenie na wolność kryminalistów co da im także prawo do oddania głosów w wyborach prezydenckich (w większości stanów więźniowie nie mają takiego prawa), lub wypuszczenie wszystkich nielegalnych imigrantów, i inne "kwiatki". 

Po tym gdy ponad stu kongresmenów z partii Demokratycznej zaapelowało o głosowanie nad uproszczoną ustawą Pelosi powiedziała, że popiera przedłużenie zasiłków ale to nie jest dobry czas na głosowanie.

„Nie sądzę, strategicznie rzecz biorąc, że to jest kierunek w który powinniśmy teraz iść, ponieważ Republikanie chcieliby coś takiego zrobić i powiedzieć, zapomnijcie o wszystkim innym” - powiedziała Pelosi w wywiadzie dla stacji PBS. „Zapomnijmy o rządach stanowych i lokalnych. Zapomnijmy o naszych inwestycjach w powstrzymanie wirusa. Zapomnijmy o innych inicjatywach, o wyżywieniu kraju pozbawionego bezpieczeństwa żywnościowego, inicjatywach głosowania pocztą i całej reszcie”.

Russia blocks Navalny's medical transport to Germany

Alexei Navalny, one of the leaders of the anti-Kremlin opposition in Russia, was hospitalized in Omsk yesterday due to severe poisoning. An air ambulance was sent from Germany for Navalny to transport him to Nuremberg, but Russian doctors refused to let him go claiming that it would be dangerous for him. 

According to a colleague of Alexei Navalny, the poison was identified. It is dangerous not only to him, but also to everyone around him. As Navalny's spokeswoman Kira Jarmysz said, the name of the poison was not given, citing the secret of the investigation.

Poland: Industrial production is a positive surprise. Second month in a row in the black

Everything seems to indicate that the biggest slump in the industry is behind it and the situation is stabilizing.  After the massive slump in industrial production in Poland in March and April, when it was even a quarter lower than a year earlier, there was a clear rebound. For the second month in a row, production is higher than last year's. This is a positive surprise as the forecasts were pessimistic.

Even if the slight annual growth continues for longer, it will be cause for satisfaction. Poland may not come back to the several percent increases from the pre-epidemic period soon. For example, a year ago, the statistics showed an increase in production by nearly 10 percent.

Cichanouska appeals to the European Council not to recognize the election results in Belarus

Presidential candidate Sviatlana Cichanouska, in a published video, called on the European Council not to recognize the results of the elections in Belarus, which she described as rigged. 

Today, Wednesday, a video summit of EU heads of state and government on the crisis in Belarus has begun. Last week Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki called for such summit in connection with this crisis.

Reports of Russian military trucks moving toward Belarus

Reports about the columns of trucks heading towards the Belarusian border are similar to the situation from 2014, when recordings of vehicles heading towards the Ukrainian border appeared on the Internet.

Dear Mr. Dekan, 

It was exactly one hundred years ago, in 1920, that the Red Army flocked west to effectuate a communist revolution in countries all across the continent. Today, we know that Warsaw was not their only target. Other European capitals were supposed to become the next destinations of their destructive march. The wave of red terror would most surely not have missed your motherland - Austria, along with Germany, where communist organizations were gaining steam. Allow me to recall the words of Mikhail Tukhachevsky, a Red Army general responsible for further bloodshed in 1920: 'Over the corpse of White Poland lies the road to world-wide conflagration.'

My homeland, Poland, was the one that prevented the communists from setting Europe on fire at that time. Our unwavering resistance against the brutal, barbaric expansion of communism towards Western Europe led to one of the most important clashes in the history of our civilization - the Battle of Warsaw. The Bolshevik army was driven by fury, a lack of boundaries, savagery and thirst for destruction. Meanwhile, two years before, in 1918, Poland had regained independence it had lost as far back as in the 18th century, and stood firm and steadfast with its European heritage. 

My fellow countrymen, who defended not only Poland, but the entire European civilization against the Bolsheviks, experienced first-hand what the communist revolution was; many of them had made their way to Poland from the newly-emerging Soviet empire. Thousands of testimonies and tens of thousands of escapees from territories occupied by the Bolsheviks confirmed the cruelty, tortures, bestiality and widespread terror of Leninist and Stalinist communism. It was a terror aimed not only at soldiers, but civilians above all - it targeted the Polish people living east of Warsaw. 

My fellow citizens had watched their parents die in inhumane torture. They had witnessed the Bolsheviks abusing women and children, murdering them with cruelty, burning villages and towns. Polish civilians would also be exposed to a similar type of cruelty 20 years later, when soldiers of the Third Reich and 'Hitler's willing executioners' (I recommend you to read the book by Daniel Goldhagen) murdered children, women, the elderly and civilians in cold blood. It had all been witnessed by the grandchildren of the January Uprising insurgents, fighters for Polish independence who had been sent deep into Siberia by the Russian Tzar to meet certain death. Finally, they were the descendants of the Kościuszko Uprising insurgents, who had seen the Russians enter the Praga district in Warsaw and slaughter the local residents, all to break their spirit and make them give up their weapons without resistance. In cold blood, they murdered men, women, children and the elderly, not by the hundreds, not by the thousands, but by the tens of thousands. 

The sacrifice and heroism of consecutive generations of Poles provide the right and rudimentary context of the holiday we have just celebrated - the Battle of Warsaw centennial. This is why, as the Prime Minister of Poland, I was surprised that, at the time of such an important anniversary, celebrating the deliverance of Europe from a bloodthirsty communist terror (have you heard of the Great Hunger of 1932-1933?), editorial offices belonging to the publishing house managed by you had decided to publish and promote articles whose content obfuscates and twists the truth about those incredible days and their intrepid heroes. The texts in question are „Tego, co wyprawiają Polacy, nie da się opowiedzieć Lekarz Armii Czerwonej pisze z frontu poruszające listy do zony (No words can the describe what the Poles are doing' - A Red Army Military Physician writes touching letters from the front line to his wife), published on the onet.pl portal on 15 August 2020, and "Prawda o losach jeńców sowieckich wojny 1920 roku. Pieklo za drutami" (The real fate of Soviet POWs from the 1920 war. A hell behind barbed wire), recalled on the Newsweek Polska internet portal on 13 August 2020. The message of the above-mentioned articles carries a risk that the roles played by the sides to the conflict, the stake of which was the protection of Europe against communist terror, could be reevaluated. Mentions of the alleged willful extermination that the Second Polish Republic authorities had supposedly brought upon the Bolshevik POWs can only be deemed disgraceful and slanderous. 

I cannot imagine that on September 1st, on the 81st anniversary of the beginning of World War II, any of the editorial offices that you are in charge of would publish a sentimental memoir of a German soldier in Hitler's army, writing about monsters from the Home Army (Polish: Annia Krajowa). Unless those offices of your publishing house are capable of doing so, too? Likewise, would any of your journalists use the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising to write about the Jewish Combat Organisation's (Polish: Żydowska Organizacja Bojowa) conspiracy against the peaceful Nazis? 

In case you were to prepare future content concerning World War II, I would suggest that you consult the witnesses of those inhumane crimes, such as Wacława Szlacheta, who recounts the crimes of Dirlewanger's battalion thusly: 'Lying there, I saw and heard the German soldiers walking among the people they had laid down, kicking them to check who was still alive. They killed those who were with single shots from their revolvers... I saw a soldier approach a baby buggy occupied by my neighbour Mrs Jakubczyk's a-few-month-old twins. He shot them. I kept hearing the groans of the dying people. I didn't see the corpses of my husband and son when I left the site of murder, but I saw the bodies of both my daughters.' I know this sounds like hell, but this was exactly the type of hell on earth brought about by German Nazis and Russian Soviet communists. This is what war does to this world; it turns it into a horrifying abyss. However, it is our duty to stare into that abyss and stand for the truth in spite of fear; to stand for the victims - those who were attacked, raped and murdered. These are the European values. And this should be an internal imperative for all of us. 

In light of this, Poland is open to conducting numerous scientific and historical research projects that could facilitate the understanding of the legion aspects of the Polish-Soviet War. However, as the victim of Soviet aggression, we must not allow the real image of that horrible war to be distorted. Nobody is permitted to relativise history. The oppressor is the oppressor, the victim is the victim, and the hero is the hero. This is the fundamental truth that we must protect out of respect for the victims, all witnesses of these breakthrough events, and their families. And it is in this truth that the interests of us all lie. It is not particular, but fully universal. We should all keep it safe, both in Poland and in Europe.

Trump wysyła ostrzeżenie do burmistrza Nowego Jorku po kolejnym krwawym weekendzie

Prezydent Trump ostrzegł w niedzielę wieczorem burmistrza Nowego Jorku, Billa de Blasio, że rząd federalny podejmie działania, jeśli jego biuro nie zdoła opanować ciągłego wzrostu przestępczości w mieście.

Raport stacji Fox 5 NY mówi, że w każdej dzielnicy były strzelaniny i 43 ofiary, 10 razy więcej niż w ten sam weekend w 2019 roku.

Eric Adams, prezes Brooklyn Borough i były kapitan NYPD, powiedział: „Nie chciałbym wierzyć, że uodporniliśmy się na przemoc ze względu na położenie geograficzne i pochodzenie etniczne ofiar”.

Z raportu Fox 5 wynika, że od początku roku w mieście było 1087 ofiar strzelaniny w porównaniu z 577 w tym samym czasie w roku poprzednim. Z raportu wynika, że w mieście zginęło 263 osób w porównaniu do 196 w 2019 roku.

Strzelaniny skłoniły New York Post do opublikowania artykułu redakcyjnego zatytułowanego „Potrzebujemy kogoś do kandydowania na burmistrza, kto ocali Nowy Jork”. „Na samym początku ery de Blasio wskaźnik morderstw spadł o prawie 90 procent. Dziś 'Gotham' gwałtownie upada z prędkością światła - ale można go jeszcze uratować ”- napisała redakcja.

To nie pierwszy raz, kiedy Trump apelował do jakiegoś burmistrza w związku z nasileniem się przemocy i niepokojami związanymi z protestami spowodowanymi śmiercią George'a Floyda. Zwykle spotyka się to z oporem burmistrzów, którzy twierdzą, że policja federalna tylko zwiększa napięcia w tych miastach. Trump, w roku wyborczym, próbuje ustawić się jako osoba, która wybiera prawo i porządek kraju.

Już wcześniej informowano, że tysiące nowojorczyków opuszcza miasto z powodu rekordowej ilości pustych mieszkań, przemocą i"lock-down" spowodowanego przez koronawirusa. Hartford Courant informował, że 16 000 nowojorczyków przeniosło swoje rezydencje do Connecticut w ciągu pierwszych trzech miesięcy pandemii.

Policyjny związek który w zeszłym tygodniu ogłosił poparcie dla Trumpa, opublikował tweet o ostatnim krwawym tygodniu w mieście, w którym zginęło 12 osób i 69 było ofiar. „Powody nie są skomplikowane” - napisali na Twitterze. „Nasi miejscy politycy demonizowali nas na każdym kroku i przy okazji pozbawiali nas narzędzi niezbędnych do walki ze zbrojną przestępczością na ulicach. Kiedy funkcjonariusze zajmują się przestępczością z „lekką ręką”, brutalne gangi wkraczają w pustkę i terroryzują nowojorczyków”.

The largest protest in a history of Belarus, close to 200k

The largest demonstration in the history of independent Belarus took place on Sunday in Minsk. Its last participants left the Independence Square late in the evening. They were demanding the departure of President Alyaksandr Lukashenka and the release from prisons of the participants from earlier post-election protests. Supporters of change in the country also demonstrated in other cities. 

According to independent media reports, employees of the state-owned television joined a nationwide strike in protest against the rigged election results and police brutality.

Independent media wrote about 200,000 participants of the Sunday rally and the Freedom March in Minsk. The number is difficult to verify, but it is certain that so far there has not been such a large demonstration in independent Belarus.

The demonstrators gathered for several hours at the crossroads near the Hero City Monument in Minsk, before they marched to the main square of the capital - Independence Square. There were no organizers, no speeches during the demonstration, the march was spontaneous and depended on self-control of the participants. There was some coordination over the internet and social media.

Before the supporters of the protesters arrived at Independence Square, there was a demonstration of support for Alyaksandr Lukashenka, attended by the Belarusian leader himself. He said that if new elections are called, "Belarus will die as a state", and that there are NATO tanks and planes near the Belarusian borders.

The President of Belarus, Alyaksandr Lukashenka, announced that there would be no new presidential elections in the country and that he would not do anything under pressure. This was his reference to the ongoing protests in Belarus. Citizens are demanding that Lukashenka leaves the office of president.

Cooperation agreement between Poland and US on nuclear energy

"The agreement will allow Poland to use the experience of the United States, both the government sector and American enterprises, in the development of the Polish nuclear energy program," we read on government websites.

Nie tylko ponad 300 funkcjonariuszy zostało rannych, ale demonstracje kosztowały miasto także 115 milionów dolarów, plus kolejne 179 milionów dolarów w godzinach nadliczbowych dla policjantów. Według nowojorskiej policji, od 28 maja do 22 lipca podczas protestów zdewastowano 303 radiowozy. Pojazdy zostały pomalowane graffiti, obrzucone kamieniami, a w niektórych przypadkach podpalone. Według policji koszt szkód szacuje się na 996 tysięcy dolarów.

Nowy Jork ma też jeszcze problem związany z COVID-19 i rozruchami. 16 tysięcy ludzi przeprowadziło się do pobliskiego Connecticut. To dość duza liczba podatników, w większości dobrze sytuowanych, których pieniądze odpłynęły gdzie indziej. Wśród tych którzy opuścili Nowy Jork są milionerzy, celebryci i gwiazdy Hollywood.

Powyższe koszty to nie tylko straty finansowe ale także setki jeśli nie tysiące miejsc pracy.

Polish Scouts made a film about the Warsaw Uprising, YouTube blocked it for "dangerous and aggressive" content

The film, directed by Mira Lykosi Raghavachara, is 3 1/2 minutes long tribute to Polish Scouts, young men and women, and often just children, who fought in the Warsaw Uprising. The film is simple and well done but, you can't see it on a YouTube. Their reasoning for blocking it is simply absurd.

The Warsaw Uprising, the most dramatic and most painful event in Polish history is also one the few events in world's history whose image, meaning and history are constantly distorted, criticized, purged and censored. Mostly by the Left and their journalists, historians and media. YouTube is just the latest example of it. 

Fortunately, neither Facebook nor Twitter got the memo, at least not yet, and you could see there.

After you see this short please ask yourself what is so offensive about it.

Senatorzy wzywają Chiny do spłaty stuletniego długu w wysokości 1,6 biliona dolarów

Senator Martha McSally, Republikanka z Arizony, przedstawiła w czwartek rezolucję wzywającą Chiny do spłaty amerykańskim posiadaczom obligacji ponad 1,6 biliona dolarów długu państwowego, wraz z odsetkami, sprzed rządów komunistycznych w tym kraju.

Rezolucja została poparta przez senatora Marsha Blackburn, Republikanina z Tennessee, a do w Kongresie będzie prowadzona przez kongresmena Marka Greena, R-Tennessee. Uchwałom na razie brakuje mocy prawa, ale odzwierciedlają wolę prawodawców.

„Chiny wielokrotnie nie wywiązywały się ze swoich zobowiązań wobec Ameryki, zabierając pieniądze i pracę amerykańskim rodzinom” - powiedziała McSally. „Cóż, to nadużycie się kończy. A Guardian correspondent interviewed several people who had already been released from custody. Their reports are frightening. They talk about the beatings, stripping naked, cramming them in cells, and the humiliation they experienced. 

A recording of the screams of tortured inmates has also appeared on social media.

Belarus: The wave of protests is intensifying

Belarusian protests are gaining momentum. A general strike begins in Belarus. Workplaces across the country are joining the protest against the rigged elections and brutality of the police. Large factories have joined the strike. So far there is no information about the reaction of the authorities.

Meanwhile, a peaceful strike by women is becoming an increasingly common form of protest. The women dressed in white have created a chain of solidarity in many cities. 

There are also reports of police officers leaving the service in protest against the decisions made by their superiors.

Stan Nowy Jork zajął najniższe miejsce w kraju pod względem perspektyw gospodarczych w nowym raporcie, w którym analizuje się politykę gospodarcza i czy ona pomaga czy szkodzi konkurencyjności całego stanu. 

Konserwatywny think tank, American Legislative Exchange Council, przyjrzał się każdemu ze stanów pod kątem corocznego raportu organizacji „Rich States, Poor States” (Bogate Stany, Biedne Stany), który został opublikowany w środę.

Raport analizuje 15 różnych zmiennych, w tym stawki podatku dochodowego od osób fizycznych i prawnych, obciążenie podatkiem od nieruchomości, obciążenie podatkiem od sprzedaży, podatki od spadków oraz stanowe wynagrodzenie minimalne. Nowy Jork zajął ostatnie miejsce w kilku kategoriach i nie lepsze niż 30 miejsce w żadnej z nich.

The employees of the Symphony Orchestra went to the Jakub Kolas Square and every few minutes sing the Belarusian religious and patriotic hymn "Mahutny Boża" ("Almighty God"). Several hundred of the faithful gathered on Swaboda Square, which is located between the cathedral church and the cathedral church, to pray for peace in Belarus.

Chiny zachęciły amerykańskiego przedsiębiorcę do pomocy w budowie najnowocześniejszej firmy motoryzacyjnej na największym rynku samochodowym na świecie, a następnie wykorzystały niepewność wywołaną przez COVID-19 do kradzieży jego firmy i własności intelektualnej - mówi biznesmen.

Steve Saleen, założyciel specjalistycznego producenta samochodów sportowych o wysokich osiągach. Saleen Automotive, oraz jego partner Charles Wang, chiński imigrant i były prawnik w nowojorskiej kancelarii prawnej, zostali poproszeni pod koniec 2015 roku o utworzenie spółki joint venture z miastem Rugao w celu produkcji samochodów.

Porozumienie, które zostało osiągnięte, wymagało od Saleena wniesienia swojej marki i znaków towarowych, doświadczenia, know-how i technologii w produkcji samochodów, oraz zaprojektowanie trzech pojazdów. Ten wkład wyceniono na 800 milionów dolarów. 

Saleen, Wang i ich partnerzy mieli otrzymać dwie trzecie udziałów w nowo powstałej firmie o nazwie Jiangsu Saleen Automotive Technologies.

Na początku 2020 roku wszystko szło zgodnie z planem. Pierwszy produkt, SUV, był na etapie certyfikacji. Fabryka, wyposażona w 470 najnowocześniejszych robotów, była gotowa do produkcji. 

Wtedy wybuchła pandemia COVID-19. 

Gdy Saleen i Wang utknęli w Stanach Zjednoczonych ponieważ loty do Chin zostały wstrzymane rząd Rugao skorzystał z okazji, by „znacjonalizować firmę”.

Several Poles have gone missing in Belarus, there is a hunt for reporters

There are indications that there are two Polish students are among those detained in Minsk - said MP Michał Szczerba on Tuesday before midnight. He is the only Polish politician who went to Belarus at the invitation of the local opposition as an observer.

He added, that the detainees include representatives of all social groups, including the ruling party.

Before midnight the politician tweeted about Polish students detained by the police.

"Unfortunately, everything indicates that there are two Polish students among those detained in Minsk. I was contacted by their families who lost contact with them yesterday evening. I received an assurance from the Ambassador that the Consul is trying to find them" - we read in the entry.

There are reports about the beatings of journalists.

"This is a nightmare, there is a HUNT for journalists. In Grodno, 2 of the Belsat TV associates were beaten. Jan Roman had 4 teeth knocked out. Alesia Dzianisaw, the operator, and Ruslan Kulewicz, the head of the local portal, were also injured. The police is destroying the equipment"- tweeted Agnieszka Romaszewska, head of the Belsat station.

"The journalist Jan Roman, who works with TV Polonia, was beaten on Monday at the Grodno police station and is currently in hospital," said Andrzej Poczobut, an activist of the Union of Poles in Belarus. "Yesterday they were supposed to release his arrested colleagues from the custody. He came to the police station to meet them. Suddenly, a military Hummer (exact copy of Hummer produced in China) drove up, from which the special forces people jumped out and started beating everyone with batons" - said Poczobut.

Roman "got kicked in the face and had four front teeth knocked out." The journalist spent the night in custody and was sentenced to a fine on Tuesday morning. There is no contact with him but there are reports that he is in the hospital.
