Macedonia gives all its tanks to Ukraine

 As part of its military support, North Macedonia has decided to provide Ukraine with all its T-72A tanks, the number of which is estimated at 30-31 units. This will result in the complete withdrawal of tanks from the local army.

While in the case of Poland or Bulgaria it cannot be said that the transfer of the T-72 was a disarmament of a given formation, in the case of North Macedonia, such a term can already be used. This shows the scale of the involvement of such a small country in helping Ukraine, while many European countries many times richer and more powerful are often unable to provide adequate aid. 

Eight of those tanks are already on the way.

Administracja Bidena po cichu zatwierdziła budowę muru granicznego w pobliżu Yumy

 "Ani jednej stopy więcej." Były to słowa, których Joe Biden użył jako mantry podczas swojej kampanii prezydenckiej w 2020 roku dotyczącej budowy amerykańsko-meksykańskiego muru granicznego. An agreement to build ten small nuclear reactors was signed

 The letter of intent regarding the construction of a power plant consisting of 10 small nuclear reactors with a total capacity of 200 MW was signed on Thursday by the Legnica Special Economic Zone, DB Energy and Last Energy Poland. The reactors would be a source of energy for investments located in the Zone.

"The new solution may allow for a safe, stable and emission-free source of energy for factories located in the Zone. We are taking another step not only towards green energy, but also to strengthen energy security" - said Przemysław Bożek, president of the Legnica Special Economic Zone.

Last Energy is an American investor, developer, and operator of small modular nuclear power plants. "The fully scalable structure developed by Last Energy provides emission-free and cost-competitive energy, which enables acceleration of the decarbonization process of the economy" - the LSEZ statement said. 

Last Energy's SMR offer covers the entire investment process - from the design concept, through design, arrangements, financing, implementation, service, maintenance, and production of energy for the client, to the disposal of installations and fuels, while DB Energy from Wrocław will ensure the integration of the infrastructure power plants and end customers.

“As one of the first in the world, we have a chance to apply such technology at home. We see a great opportunity and a number of benefits resulting from the implementation of investments, including achieving real zero emissions, increasing the attractiveness of the investment areas offered or building the competitive advantage of the Zone and the investors operating here "- added the vice-president of LSSE Ryszard Wawryniewicz.

Ekonomiści Refinitiv spodziewali się, że raport wykaże wzrost gospodarczy o 0,5%.

Polish intelligence identified Russian "filtration camps"

 From the beginning of its aggression against Ukraine, Russia began building a network of prisons and filtration camps to which Ukrainians were sent en masse. 

In those "filtration camps," Russians are looking for people with combat experience and officials of the Ukrainian administration. The attitude of specific people towards Russia is also to be examined. Those who do not raise objections to the invaders are deported to Russia. Some of these people are forcibly conscripted into the Russian army and then sent to the front. Those who raise doubts are brutally repressed. They are tortured, forced to confess, or make statements against Ukraine, or they are brought to court as part of political trials. The involvement of the most important Russian secret service, the FSB, shows how much importance the Kremlin attaches to these actions.

The apparatus of repression prepared by the Russians was to be organized based on a system of prisons located in the occupied territories of Ukraine. The former seats of local Ukrainian authorities, particularly the local police and the State Migration Service of Ukraine, were to be used for this purpose. In regions where the Russians have not managed to adapt, buildings have taken over as a result of aggression, and filtration sites are organized in the form of tent cities or camps.

According to the intelligence data, filtering and verifying the detained Ukrainians lasts from several hours to several days. During this time, interrogations by the FSB and analysis of confiscated items are taking place. They check data carriers and social media activity. The Russians also check whether the detainees have traces of fights on their bodies and even what tattoos they have.

The system built by Russia is to operate on a massive scale. Estimated data show that over 1.5 million Ukrainians (including thousands of children) have been sent to prisons and filtration camps.

The Polish services managed to identify the places used for the described actions against Ukraine. Below are some specific locations:

Presidential minister: The statement of the head of the EC is astonishing

 This is what happens when European un-elected officials get more 'power than God' and run the EU without a need to face the voters.

During the conversation between President Andrzej Duda and the head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen in February, there were no objections to the draft amendment about the Supreme Court, therefore the last statement of the head of the European Commission is astonishing; that there are arguments of such strength at this stage - Presidential Minister Małgorzata Paprocka told Polish Press Agency.

Paprocka emphasized that at the moment, no further legislative work regarding changes to the Supreme Court is in progress in the President's Office. "The elements that the president wanted to resolve were settled by the adopted law" - she noted.

On Tuesday, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, told DGP that in order to receive funds from the National Reconstruction Plan, Poland must fulfill the commitments made to reform the system of disciplinary measures. She admitted that the new law is an important step, but "the new law (amendment to the law on the Supreme Court - PAP) does not guarantee judges the possibility of challenging the status of another judge without the risk of being held liable for disciplinary action." Von der Leyen stressed that Poland must also fully comply with the ruling of the Court of Justice of the EU, which has not yet happened. "In particular, the suspended judges have not been reinstated and the daily financial penalty is still in force. We are in contact with the Polish authorities on these issues and we want to find a solution" - she added.

Referring to the words of von der Leyen that "the new law does not guarantee judges the possibility of questioning the status of another judge without the risk of being held liable for disciplinary action", Paprocka emphasized that - according to the Polish constitution - judges are irremovable. "So there's no way to question the status at all," she said.

Maybe the head of the European Commission now wants to abolish or change Polish Constitution?

EU agrees to reduce gas demand by 15 percent

 Today, during an extraordinary meeting of energy ministers of the EU member states, an agreement was reached to reduce gas consumption from August 2022 to March 2023. Details of the agreement are to be known in the coming days.

An agreement was reached after around two hours of talks.

According to the Council, the member states undertake to reduce gas demand by 15%. The Council regulation also provides for the possibility of triggering a "security of supply alert"; in this case, reducing gas demand would become mandatory.

The Council agreed that Member States that are not connected to the gas networks of other Member States would be exempted from compulsory gas reductions as they would not be able to release significant amounts of pipeline gas to other Member States. Member States whose electricity networks are not synchronized with the European electricity system and rely heavily on gas to produce electricity are also exempted to avoid the risk of an electricity supply crisis.

It's hard not to conclude that it's a good thing that Poland bought all this gas from other sources than Russia at sometimes higher rates. Now it can, or should we say is obligated to, share with countries like Germany that created the crisis. 

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez zaprzecza, że udawała zakłucie w kajdanki podczas protestu

Polish tanks PT-91 Twardy are in Ukraine

 There are already Polish PT-91 Twardy (Hard) tanks in Ukraine, provided as part of military aid - said Andriy Yermak, the head of the Chancellery of the President of Ukraine.

In practice, this means the beginning of the next stage of military aid for Kyiv. Previously, Poland donated to Ukraine over 200 T-72M / M1 / M1R tanks, which have undergone modifications in Poland.

The delivery of Twardy tanks marks the commencement of the next stage of military aid for Kyiv. It is currently unknown how many of these tanks will be handed over to the Ukrainian army. The Polish Army had a total of 232 such vehicles, used mainly by the 16th Pomeranian Mechanized Division and the 12th Szczecin Mechanized Division. The military contingent in Latvia is also equipped in Twardys, recently deployed by the 21st Podhale Rifle Brigade. The Ministry of National Defense (MON) did not comment on the details of its involvement in helping Ukraine.

It is known, however, that the MON is taking intensive measures to fill the hardware gaps related to helping Ukraine. The delivery of 116 Abrams tanks has already been agreed with the United States (in addition to the 250 new M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams purchased in April). This week, a contract for the supply of 180 K2 tanks in the existing version from the Republic of Korea is to be signed. In the next step, the Polish Armed Forces will receive several hundred tanks in the K2PL version, developed as part of international industrial cooperation, and the existing K2 will be modernized.

It is worth noting, however, that only the purchases of Abrams and the existing K2s include a total of 546 tanks. This figure is close to the total number of T-72 and the PT-91 (318 + 232 = 550) slated for modernization before the war.

The MON wants to restore the combat capabilities of the units of the armored force on the new equipment as soon as possible, and their "loss" was limited in time to the period in which the Russian army was involved in the war in Ukraine and/or restores its capabilities after the war.

Delivering even some Twardy tanks to Ukraine should significantly strengthen its combat capabilities, as such vehicles will be easier to control (and even more importantly, to operate) than Western vehicles. It remains to be hoped that the MON will manage to introduce their successors to the equipment of the Armored Forces quickly enough.

Pomnik Katyński w Jersey City ponownie zagrożony

 Ciągle słyszymy o bezprecedensowych akcjach przeciwko pamięci polskich ofiar sowieckiego barbarzyństwa w Rosji i na Białorusi. Rosjanie usunęli polskie symbole z Cmentarza Katyńskiego. Białoruski reżim poszedł jeszcze dalej, usuwając na swoim terytorium zarówno groby, jak i pomniki. Teraz słyszymy, że Pomnik Katyński w New Jersey stoi w obliczu podobnego niebezpieczeństwa.

Lokalne grupy o wyraźnych interesach handlowych i politycznych forsują plan, który zasłani widok pomnika i ograniczy dostęp do niego publiczności. Planowane usunięcie ozdobnego fartucha nie tylko zagraża integralności artystycznej wizji twórcy pomnika Andrzeja Pityńskiego, ale także zagraża integralności i stabilności konstrukcji pomnika. Usunięcie fartucha zostało nieodpowiedzialnie zatwierdzone przez Radę Planowania Miasta Jersey bez żadnych obliczeń strukturalnych ani wymaganej dyskusji. Jeśli zrealizuje się najgorszy scenariusz i pomnik przesunie się na bok, choćby był minimalny, miasto będzie zmuszone nawet go potępić, ponieważ zagrażałoby to bezpieczeństwu publicznemu. Również brak odpowiedniego wejścia i wyjścia budzi obawy o bezpieczeństwo odwiedzających.

Ale to nie wszystko.

Z trzech stron ma zostać zainstalowana ponad 2-metrowa fizyczna i wizualna bariera, która na stałe ograniczy wszystkie zgromadzenia i ceremonie, które wcześniej odbywały się przed pomnikiem. Ten projekt bariery jest rażącym atakiem i zniewagą dla polskiej społeczności, pamięci zamordowanych w Lesie Katyńskim.

Poinformowano nas także, że 16 lipca 2022 r. pomnik został nagle ogrodzony siatką, wzniesioną bez publicznie ogłoszonego uzasadnienia i wymaganych pozwoleń.

Katyn Monument enclosed with a chain link fence ... in America

 We constantly hear about unprecedented actions against the memory of Polish victims of Soviet barbarism in Russia and Belarus. Russians removed Polish symbols from the Katyn(*) Cemetery. The Belarusian regime went even farther by removing both graves and monuments on their territory. Now, we hear that the Katyn Monument in NEW JERSEY is facing similar dangers. 

Local groups with evident commercial and political interests are pushing forward with a plan that obstructs the monument's view and restricts the public's access to it. Their planned removal of the decorative apron not only defiles the integrity of the artistic vision of Andrzej Pitynski, the monument's creator but also threatens the monument's structural integrity and stability. The removal of the apron was irresponsibly approved by the Jersey City Planning Board without any structural calculations or requisite discussion. If the worst scenario is realized and the monument shifts to one side, however minimal it might be, the city will be forced to condemn it because it would threaten public safety. Also, the lack of proper ingress and egress raises public safety concerns.

But that's not all.

A 7-foot-high physical and visual barrier is to be installed on its three sides, permanently restricting all gatherings and ceremonies formerly held in front of the monument while facing east over the Hudson River to the New York City skyline. This barrier design is a blatant assault and insult to the Polish community, the memory of those murdered in the Katyn Forest, and the lives lost in the 9/11 tragedy. Equally egregious, this obstruction defiles Andrzej Pitynski's artistic vision and intent.

We were informed that on July 16, 2022, the monument was suddenly enclosed with a chain link fence erected without publicly-announced justification or the required permits.

Let us hope it is not a result of Putin's long reach because it does look like a part of the campaign against the memory of Polish victims of Soviet Russia.

(*) Katyn is a rural locality in the Smolensky District of Smolensk Oblast, Russia, located approximately 20 kilometers to the west of Smolensk, the administrative center of the oblast. It is also a site of KATYN MASSACRE, a series of mass executions of 22,000 Polish military officers and intelligentsia prisoners of war carried out by the NKVD in April and May 1940. Though the killings also occurred in the Kalinin and Kharkiv prisons and elsewhere, the massacre is named after the Katyn Forest, where some of the mass graves were first discovered by German forces.

Newsom podpisuje ustawę o kontroli broni wzorowaną na teksańskim prawie aborcyjnym

Russia broke the agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain

 The Russian army attacked the commercial port in Odessa in southern Ukraine with maneuvering missiles, said Serhiy Bratchuk, spokesman for the Odessa Oblast administration.

Two missiles were shot down by the Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense. Two missiles hit the port infrastructure, added the spokesman, citing the "South" Operational Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Poland will buy South Korean weapons. 48 FA-50 jets and 180 K2 tanks

The decision comes after the initiative to exchange German tanks with Poland turned out to be a failure. Poland already sent 230 of its T-72 tanks to Ukraine and is about to send another 250 more, this time highly modernized, T-72-based, PT-91 Twardy tanks. In exchange Germany was to compensate Poland with their own Leopard tanks. So far Poland received ZERO tanks. That makes a big hole in Polish defenses.

We are closing the contract for the purchase of 116 Abrams, used, but still highly effective and on preferential terms. The combat value of the Abrams is at least two or even three times greater than that of the T-72 tanks, - said minister Błaszczak.

In total, Poland will have 366 Abrams tanks, plus 180 Korean "Black Panther" (K2) tanks. Ultimately, K2s will be produced in Poland. 

Korean weapons are compatible with, or even identical to, the American equipment, constructed with the participation of US companies.

Poland is interested in purchasing three squadrons, 48, FA-50s. The first copies would be delivered to Poland as early as next year. 

The head of the Ministry of National Defense stressed that the new equipment will be tested in the army, not in industrial plants, and soldiers will be able to indicate what should be changed.

The spokesman of the Armaments Agency, Lt. Col. Krzysztof Płatek, supplements this information with the announcement of the purchase of the K9 Thunder. This mechanism can be triggered when there is a significant risk of a severe gas shortage or an exceptionally high gas demand. (...) Member States requesting "solidarity gas" supplies will have to demonstrate the measures they have taken to reduce domestic demand - reported the EC.

Andrzej Ossowski from the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin made a groundbreaking discovery - two mass graves were found, in which there are approx. 17.5 tons of human ashes.

"Most of the victims come from the Soldau camp, which was established to murder representatives of the Polish resistance movement. But the Germans also murdered citizens of the Third Reich here. In order for the crime to never see the light of day, in the spring of 1944, from March 1 for the next 6 weeks, the remains of the murdered were extracted from the mass graves, stacked, covered with brushwood, poured with gasoline and set on fire. In the end, the ashes were ground," - said the President of IPN, Dr. Karol Nawrocki.

According to the prosecutor Tomasz Jankowski, the number of victims was estimated at about 8,000 people. This is a breakthrough discovery because so far the official number of people killed in the Solgau camp was estimated at around 1,000. But historians and researchers have long argued the fact that this was probably a much larger number - up to 30,000. The discovery of the Institute of National Remembrance confirms these assumptions.

An apology for this crime and recognition as genocide were expected, which would be a real breakthrough in the attitude of the political leadership of Ukraine. However, that was not the case.

"This omission of the Volhynian crime by the President of Ukraine was so ostentatious that it would absolutely require a reference by the Polish authorities. Will it be so? " - wrote a columnist for the weekly 'Do Rzeczy' on Twitter.

President Zelenskiy sent to the Verkhovna Rada on Monday a draft law called "On the establishment of legal and social guarantees for the citizens of the Republic of Poland who are on the territory of Ukraine". In his speech he spoke of "trust", but not even in one word did he refer to the Volhynia massacre. The Ukrainian embassy in Poland behaved in a similar way, writing about "the memory of the innocent victims of the terrible times in Volhynia in the years 1943-1944".

It happened not only in Volhynia, but also in the Lviv, Tarnopol, and Stanisławów voivodeships - entire 'Eastern Galicia,' and even some of the voivodeships bordering Volhynia: Lublin (from the west) and Polesie (from the north). The drama of Poles lasted until 1945.

The exhumation of the victims of the OUN-UPA crimes has still not been carried out, as it is blocked by the Ukrainian authorities. That means many of the victims did not receive a proper burial. Poles still do not see a clear condemnation of the criminals by the Ukrainian authorities.

The truth about Volhynian Massacre must be clearly and strongly expressed

 On Monday, the heads of the Polish state took part in official state ceremonies of the National Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Genocide committed in 1943 by Ukrainian nationalists on citizens of the Second Polish Republic. (On July 11-12, 1943, the 'Bloody Sunday' massacre occurred in Volhynia.) The ceremonies took place at Wołyński Square in Warsaw.

"The truth must be clearly and strongly expressed. It is not about revenge," - said President Andrzej Duda.

This is a difficult topic, extremely painful for us, demanding a tough stance for the truth, and for Ukrainians - difficult, because it is, above all, embarrassing. The truth must be clearly and strongly expressed. It was not and is not about revenge, about no retaliation, there is no better proof of that than the time we have now. What is happening between Poles and Ukrainians is the best proof of it. Where so many times had a rifle, an ax, a pitchfork, a knotty stick lay, bread was laid, and a hand was stretched out to help. And it was received with gratitude and tears" - he said. 

President Duda announced that his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, submitted a draft law to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on granting Poles in Ukraine a special status.

According to earlier media reports, the new regulations are to grant Poles the status of a model of the regulations Poland adopted in May this year concerning Ukrainians. It is, among others, about facilitating employment and assigning the equivalent of the Social Security number in Ukraine.

Podobne  konto '13-letniego użytkownika' otrzymało prawie 600 filmów o używaniu narkotyków, wzmianki o uzależnieniu od kokainy i meth oraz filmy promocyjne dotyczące sprzedaży online produktów i akcesoriów dla narkomanów.
